It's not uncommon for me to be reading more than one book at a time, in fact, it happens more often that not! Mostly it happens when I'm reading a series & wait a few days to get the next one, so I read something in between; picking up the series again and reading both. Having a Kindle makes this easy (sometimes TOO easy) as I can just download a new book or pick up the next in the series. I'm a lover of books..real books on printed paper, but I found that I was reading so much and spending a ton of money..sometimes never reading them again, so my Kindle has been excellent in terms of saving money and not having clutter out the wazoo!
Here's what I'm reading right now:
Midnight Awakening by Lara Adrian. This is part of her Midnight Breed series and if you love all things vampires and steamy scenes, you'll love this series! Midnight Awakening is the third book in the series and follows Tegan (one of the Breed warriors) and Elise. Some have compared this series to the Black Dagger Brotherhood series (which I COMPLETELY adore!) and while I can see the similarities, the Midnight Breed series truly holds it's own. I'm almost halfway into the book and can't seem to put it down. Once I'm finished, I'll post a complete review as that's what I'm hoping to do here on my blog.
I'm also reading Blood Hunt which is the second book of the II AM Trilogy by Christopher Buecheler. I happened to come across the first book The Blood That Bonds on a Free Kindle Books website and the description pulled me in and it's a fantastic series! The book follows Ashley "Two" Majors, a heroin addicted prostitute, who meets Theroen, a vampire (see a theme in what I read? I do love all things vampire but also read many, many more genres). The II AM books are, in my opinion, a very different type of vampire story and it has completely pulled me in. Again, when I finish, I'll put a review up :)
